We are currently recruiting for a temporary Storeperson, to be based in Bell Block, New Plymouth.
About the role:
A busy, physical role so bring your energy to the team. This role is an important link between the company and their client's so you must be confident in dealing with people across all levels of a business. On a functional level this role is responsible for using rotating machinery to cut cable to length ready for delivery to customers, picking, packing and data entry, transfer of materials between locations on site using a forklift, offloading trucks and containers, and assisting in the physical count for inventory control.
- Fixed term to cover unexpected leave (up to 3 months)
- Roster - Monday - Friday; afternoon shift i.e., Noon to 8:00 pm
- Report to the Despatch Manager and support the despatch team to maintain timely and accurate supply
Skills and Experience:
- Possessing an excellent safety track record of operating in a safe manner at all times
- Holder of OSH accredited forklift certificate (up to 5 metric tonnes)
- Must be physically fit, and able to pass a drug and alcohol test
- Must be comfortable using a computerised inventory system
- Previous despatch experience is preferred
- Reliability is your middle name
